This policy explains what data the Ex-libris app handles, where it is stored, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Ex-libris is a client for inventaire.io, a third-party service that hosts your account and your library. Your account and book data are stored by inventaire.io, which is responsible for its own processing: please also read their terms and privacy policy on inventaire.io.
Your account — username, email address and password, entered when you create an account or sign in. They are sent directly to inventaire.io. The app never stores your password.
Your session — after you sign in, a session cookie issued by inventaire.io is kept in your iPhone's Keychain so you stay signed in. It is deleted when you sign out.
Your library — the books in your inventory, your shelves, your lists, your notes, and the transactions (lending, giving, selling) and messages about them. This data is stored on inventaire.io, according to the visibility you choose, and a local copy is kept on your device so the app stays fast and works offline.
Your public profile — username, avatar, and optionally the approximate position you set on inventaire.io. The app does not access your phone's location and never asks for that permission.
On your device only — your recent searches and a few display settings (tips already seen, onboarding steps completed), stored locally and never transmitted.
The app asks for camera access only to read the ISBN barcodes on your books. The video feed is analysed live on the device: no photo is saved, sent or kept. Only the decoded ISBN is used to query the inventaire.io catalogue. You can decline this permission and add your books by hand.
The "suggest an arrangement" feature uses the AI model built into your iPhone (Apple Intelligence). Your book titles and genres are analysed locally to propose shelves: nothing is sent to Lunabee Studio or to any third-party AI service.
